The Computer Science department offers the following undergraduate concentrations:

Data Science Concentration

In addition to the Computer Science core of 31 hours, the Data Science Concentration consists of 18 hours, taken as follows:

Required Courses (6 hours):
SURVEY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
INTRO TO BIG DATA COMPUTING
Elective (3 hours):
One course chosen from the following courses:
INTRO TO MULTIMEDIA SYSTEMS
INTRO COMPUTER GRAPHICS

MODELING & SIMULATION II
DATABASE SYSTEMS
Any 300 or 400 level CS elective (3 hours)

Web Programming Concentration

In addition to the Computer Science core of 31 hours, the Web Programming Concentration consists of 21 hours, taken as follows:

Required Courses (9 hours):
GRAPHIC DESIGN: INTRODUCTION
GRAPHIC DESIGN: WEB DESIGN
CLIENT/SERVER ARCHITECTURES
Elective Courses (3 hours):
One of either:
INTRO COMPUTER NETWORKS

All students in this concentration must select ARS 160 as part of their General Education Requirements (GER).
