Dual ADN/BSN Admission Requirements

Minimum Admission Requirements:

  1. All general academic courses must be completed prior to application deadlines.
  2. Unconditional admission to UAH and the partner community college.
  3. Must be in good standing with UAH and the partner community college.
  4. Receipt of completed nursing application at both institutions by posted deadlines.
  5. Meet eligibility criteria for admission (see admission criteria determined by the partner community college).
Progression and Graduation Standards
  1. A minimum grade of "C" or above must be earned in all required nursing courses and prerequisite courses.
    1. The UAH College of Nursing adheres to the following grade scale:
      1. A = 90 - 100
      2. B = 80 - 89
      3. C = 75 - 79
      4. D = 60 - 74
      5. F <60
  2. An overall "C" (2.0) grade point average (GPA) is required for graduation.
  3. Semesters 5-9 students will have full-time enrollment status between UAH and the partner community college.
  4. Withdrawal from or academic failure of a UAH or partner community college nursing course for any reason will result in dismissal from the Dual Program. Dismissal from the Dual Program does not prohibit students from applying to the RN-BSN program after earning an Associate's Degree in Nursing and RN license.
