Dual ADN/BSN Admission Requirements

Minimum Admission Requirements:

  1. Unconditional admission to UAH and the partner community college.
  2. Must be in good standing with UAH and the partner community college.
  3. Receipt of completed nursing application at both institutions by posted deadlines.
  4. Meet eligibility criteria for admission.

Additional requirements:

  1. All general academic courses must be completed prior to application deadlines.
  2. A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on all college work.
  3. A minimum 2.5 GPA for nursing required academic core courses at the partner community college (ENG 101, MTH 100 or higher, BIO 201 and BIO 202).
  4. Minimum of 18 ACT composite score National or Residual or HESI A2 score (see admission criteria provided by the partner community college).
  5. Full time enrollment status in semesters 5-9 between UAH and the partner community college.
Progression and Graduation Standards
  1. A minimum grade of "C" or above must be earned in all required nursing courses and any outstanding co-requisite courses.
    1. The UAH College of Nursing adheres to the following grade scale:
      1. A = 90 - 100
      2. B = 80 - 89
      3. C = 75 - 79
      4. D = 60 - 74
      5. F <60
  2. An overall "C" (2.0) grade point average (GPA) is required for graduation.
